Your booking
Your place on a trip is confirmed once we've received your payment — or the advance we've asked for — and sent you a confirmation on WhatsApp or by email. Trip prices are per person, in Indian rupees.
Check the trip, the dates and every traveller's name on your confirmation as soon as it arrives, and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. Making sure they're right is your responsibility.
Your personal details
To book and run your trip we need some details from you: names, ages and phone numbers, ID where a stay asks for it, and anything about your health or diet you choose to tell us. We use them only to organise your trip and to stay in touch with you about it.
We share only what's needed, only with the stays, transport and activity providers on your trip, and we never sell your details. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to us.
Keeping in touch
By booking, you agree that we can contact you about your trip by WhatsApp, phone call, text message or email — including at short notice while the trip is under way.
Now and then we may also tell you about new trips and offers. Tell us if you'd rather not hear about them, and we'll stop.
ID and documents
Every traveller must carry a valid government photo ID — Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID — as stays can ask for it at check-in. Travellers who aren't Indian nationals should carry their passport and a valid visa.
Having the right documents with you is your responsibility.
Special requests
Tell us about dietary needs, help with mobility, or anything else you'd like arranged when you book. We'll do our best to arrange it, but we can't guarantee it.
Health and fitness
Our trips are relaxed, but not effortless. Expect long road journeys, some of them overnight; walking on sand, rocks and temple steps; and the heat and humidity of the coast. Read a trip's itinerary before you book to be sure it suits you.
We aren't medical professionals, so take your own medical advice before you travel and bring any medicines you need. There's no age limit on our trips, but tell us when you book about any medical condition, disability or pregnancy that could affect you on the trip.
By booking, you confirm that you — and everyone you book for — are fit to travel and have no condition that would put yourselves or others at risk. We aren't responsible if a trip turns out to be more than you can manage.
Travel insurance
Our prices don't include travel insurance. We strongly recommend a policy that covers trip cancellation, personal accident, medical expenses, and loss of or damage to your belongings.
On the trip
Treat your fellow travellers, our team, and the people and places you visit with respect — including local customs, the dress code at places of worship, and the law. Follow the safety instructions of our trip coordinator, lifeguards and activity operators, especially in and near the sea.
If anyone's behaviour puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the trip, we may ask them to leave it. Their trip ends there, with no refund, and the cost of getting home is theirs.
Changes to the itinerary
Weather, sea conditions, road closures, bandhs, local restrictions, illness, accidents and other things outside our control can mean changing or cancelling part of a trip. We'll tell you as early as we can — before you set off where possible, otherwise on the way.
Any extra costs these circumstances cause — an unplanned extra night, for example — are yours, payable on the spot. If a whole trip has to change or be cancelled, our refund & cancellation policy sets out your options.
Our partners
Your stays, transport and activities are provided by independent businesses we choose with care. They're responsible for the services they provide, and we aren't liable for their failings. If something goes wrong on the trip, though, tell us — we'll do what we reasonably can to put it right.
Cancellations and refunds
How cancellations, date changes, transfers and refunds work — whether you cancel or we do — is set out in our refund & cancellation policy, which is part of these terms.
Our liability
Travel and outdoor activities — road journeys, swimming and water sports, walking on uneven ground — carry risks of their own, and you take part at your own risk. Except where it's caused by our own negligence, Viraama Travel and our team aren't liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage during a trip.
Beyond what our refund & cancellation policy provides, we don't pay compensation for a trip being cut short, changed, extended or cancelled. In every case, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid us for the trip.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against Viraama Travel because of something you did on a trip, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover what that claim costs us, including reasonable legal fees.
Feedback and complaints
If something isn't right during a trip, tell your trip coordinator straight away, while there's still time to fix it. After a trip, send us any complaint in writing — on WhatsApp or by email — within 10 days of the trip ending, so we can look into it while the details are fresh.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page on the day you book is the one that applies to your booking; the date of the last change is at the top of the page.
